DIN Webinar: The Medical Research Council (MRC) guidelines for developing and evaluating complex interventions

Specification

Many of the interventions that are used in health and social care services, public health practice, and related areas are considered as complex, as they consist of several interacting components, and may require a range of different behavior changes and multiple actors involved in delivering it. This complexity presents extra challenges for researchers and evaluators. In 2000, the Medical Research Council (MRC) presented a framework to help researchers to recognize and adopt appropriate designs and methods. The framework has been extensively applied, and lately comprehensively revised.

The webinar provides the participants with a thorough overview of the MRC guidance as well as examples and experiences of using the guidance from the perspective of researchers.
